UVU has made the difficult decision to discontinue its ELL program at the end of summer semester 2024. UVU will not be admitting any new students to the program. Please visit the Study in the States website to identify certified ELL programs that fit your needs.

UVU does not perform change of status requests. UVU International Student Services Office will only activate your I-20 if you check in with an Initial Out of Country or Transfer I-20.

If you are transferring your I-20 from another college or university in the United States we will only accept in-status transfers.

Initial Out of Country students can seek to obtain F-1 student status through application to a U.S. embassy or consulate in your country of residence. This option requires a departure and re-entry to the U.S. if you are currently living in the U.S.
